　 北海道〜九州沿岸藻場に豊富，海藻片などを集め絹糸状の分泌物により 石の下などに巣をつくる（岡田ら 1965）． Macrocystis 上に tube をつくる（Smith Carlton 1975; 1989）． 北海道から九州までの海藻場（西村 1995）．
　 太平洋北方種（Conlan 1982 table 2）．
