　 相模湾，沖の瀬 100 fms，岩礁底（Stock 1957，Utinomi 1959）． 下田北東沖，吉佐美沖 37-40m，三崎沖 110-122m，沖縄（Nakamura Child 1991）． 田辺湾南部沖イセエビ刺し網，水深不明（Miyazaki 2004，宮崎 2004）．

　 Austrodecus の日本産既知種は本種のみ（Nakamura Child 1991）．
　 オスの歩脚第3基節にセメント腺を持つ（Stock 1957），は誤り， 他のウミグモ類同様第2基節腹側に持つ（Miyazaki 2004，宮崎 2004）．
