　 田辺湾（Fauvel 1936），沖縄（岩瀬ら 1990），相模湾（Imajima 2006）． フィリピン，ニュージーランド，南アフリカ，日本，インド-太平洋（Imajima Hartman 1964）． ブラジル 18m 粗砂底（Pires-Vanin Muniz Bromberg 2014）．

　 頭部に硬化した sandy shield をもつ（Day 1967）． Piromis eruca (Claparède 1869) も同様，ただし腹剛毛は multi articulate bidentate hooks （Takahasi 1938, Imajima Hartman 1964, etc.）
