　 瀬戸内海，水深 2-4m（Nagata 1965）， 本邦南部沿岸の浅所，カキ殻の間からも散見（岡田ら 1965）， 富岡湾，志々伎湾（Hirayama 1985）， 神奈川県三崎，シロボヤおよびベニボヤ鰓腔内（Ishimaru 1985）， わが国の沿岸に広く分布（西村 1995）．

　 九州産のツバサヨコエビは本種と別種の可能性（西村 1995）．
