　 相模湾（Imajima 2006）．
　 カリフォルニア中南部の潮間帯～大陸棚（Hartman 1969）． ニューサウスウェールズ，貝殻混じりの砂泥底（Hutchings Murray 1984）． 北米両岸およびメキシコ湾の潮間帯～浅海域，砂泥底． カリフォルニア湾 33-69m，コスタリカの潮間帯～浅海域（Dean 2001）． ブラジル（Almeida et al. 2012）．

　 生息環境の許容範囲が広く至適環境での個体サイズが大きい傾向（林 1991）．
　 Zostera および Posidonia 藻場（Hutchings Murray 1984）， メキシコ湾におけるギボシムシ類との関係（土屋 2003）．
