　 横浜（Marenzeller 1879），城ケ島（Izuka 1912）， Masan & Chilcheondo，韓国，潮間帯（Paik 1973）， アジア太平洋岸から極東ロシアおよびベトナム南方，ペルシャ湾， オーストラリア南部（Sato 2013）．
　 以下の分布はウチワゴカイ Nectoneanthes uchiwa Sato 2013 も含む． 東京湾，駿河湾（今島 1981），横浜市野島海岸（海をつくる会 1995）， 東京湾，下田湾；韓国（今島 1996），東京湾（沼田 風呂田 1997）， 大阪湾（西 花岡 山西 1998）， 小田和湾（西 工藤 2003, 2005），横須賀市走水海岸, 藻場（西 2005）．
　 ウチワゴカイは従来 N. oxypoda とされたが，その模式標本は N. latipoda と同種であったため，新種記載された（Sato 2013，逸見ら 2014）．

　 内湾の砂泥中，生殖時期は油壺湾で 6月（今島 1996）． 砂泥底，潮間帯～100m以浅の沿岸域， 生殖群泳は3～11月の日没後3時間，月齢や潮位とは無関係（Sato 2013）．
