　 礁斜面（西平 1988），四国以南（奥谷 1994）．
　 触手に全棘刺胞 holotrichs をもつが束状刺胞 fascocycts はもたない（Ogawa Nomura 2009）．

　 サンゴフジツボ類 Cantellius sextus (Hiro 1938)，C. sumbawae (Hoek 1913) が群体裏面に共生する（Ogawa 2000）．
